Disney has announced plans to discontinue its use of Slack after a data breach that resulted in the unauthorized theft and online leak of over one terabyte of company data, according to its Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston.

Johnston said in an internal memo this week that the transition will occur later this year for most of Disney’s business units.

The compromised data included sensitive financial, strategic, and personal information belonging to employees and customers.

The hacking group Nullbulge claimed responsibility for the breach, stating it accessed Disney’s data through a compromised computer belonging to a software development manager.

The stolen data consisted of over 44 million messages, approximately 18,800 spreadsheets, and at least 13,000 PDFs from Slack.
