Digital Edge to build $4.5b Indonesia data center campus
Digital Edge, an Asian digital infrastructure company backed by Stonepeak Partners, plans to invest US$4.5 billion to develop a large data center campus in Indonesia.
The CGK Campus, located in Bekasi near Jakarta, will be an AI-ready hyperscale facility with an initial capacity of 500 MW, potentially expanding to 1 GW.
Construction will occur in phases, with the first building expected to be operational by Q4 2024 and two additional buildings by mid-2025.
The campus will be supported by Indonet, Digital Edge’s Indonesian telecom subsidiary.
The company aims to address Indonesia’s fast-growing digital economy, which has outpaced infrastructure development.

- The ability to deliver 500 megawatts of IT capacity, with a path to 1 gigawatt, should be validated.
- Grid interconnection capacity for the Bekasi site should be confirmed with the state utility PT PLN (Persero).
