Digital Edge secures $325m to boost Indonesia expansion

Digital Edge has secured an 5.5 trillion rupiah (US$325 million) corporate facility from Bank Central Asia (BCA) to support its expansion in Indonesia.

Digital Edge, based in Singapore, operates data centers across Asia and is backed by infrastructure investor Stonepeak.

The funding will go to its Indonesian subsidiaries, Indonet and EDGE DC, to finance new builds in Jakarta, refinance an existing loan, and complete the final stage of the EDGE2 data center.

EDGE2 is located in South Jakarta and is designed to be energy efficient, with the company reporting an annualized PUE of 1.24.

BCA said it supports the expansion plans, citing the importance of technology infrastructure for Indonesia’s digital economy.
