Digibank Sygnum achieves unicorn status after $58m raise

Sygnum, a digital asset banking group in Switzerland and Singapore, has secured U$58 million in a strategic growth funding round.

This funding elevates the company’s post-money valuation to over US$1 billion, marking its achievement of unicorn status.

The funding round, led by bitcoin-focused venture capital firm Fulgur Ventures, also included contributions from new and existing investors, as well as Sygnum team members.

The company plans to use the funds to expand into new markets, including the EU, EEA, and Hong Kong. It also aims to enhance its product portfolio, particularly in bitcoin-related technologies.

Sygnum serves over 2,000 institutional clients across 70 countries.
