The US International Development Financial Corporation and VinFast Auto have signed a letter of interest for a potential US$500 million loan, which would help the electric vehicle firm set up a lithium-ion battery production facility in Vietnam.

According to a statement, this is one of the many initiatives the two parties are discussing regarding sustainable transportation development.
