Phase, a design software platform headquartered in Berlin, has announced its closure, according to a LinkedIn post by CEO Nick Budden.

The company raised a total of US$13 million over seven years but faced challenges in sustaining independent operations.

The team at Phase, which included around 30 employees in various roles, is now looking for new job opportunities.

Budden has invited potential employers to reach out to him to assist in placing Phase’s staff.

While operations are ceasing, Budden mentioned ongoing efforts to integrate Phase’s technology into another company’s product.

He acknowledged the difficulties in fundraising throughout the company’s existence.

Budden expressed gratitude to employees, users, investors, and partners for their support.

Phase aimed to provide tools for designers to improve creative workflows but was unable to secure the resources needed to continue independently.
