Dell raises forecast as AI server demand surges
Dell raised its annual revenue and profit forecast after demand for AI servers powered by Nvidia chips lifted first-quarter revenue 88% year on year to US$43.84 billion and adjusted earnings per share to US$4.86, both above analyst estimates.
The company’s shares rose about 39% in extended trading.
The Texas-based computer and server maker now expects full-year revenue of US$165 billion to US$169 billion and adjusted EPS of US$17.90. It also raised its fiscal 2027 AI server revenue target to about US$60 billion from US$50 billion.
Dell previously reported strong AI server orders and a growing backlog, pointing to sustained demand for AI infrastructure.
Dell said demand could be lumpy and nonlinear because deployments depend on power, liquid cooling, and data center build-outs.
