Dell Technologies has installed thousands of graphics processing units (GPUs) for Elon Musk’s supercomputer project in Memphis.

Dell COO Jeff Clarke confirmed the installations aim to support AI initiatives by Musk’s startup, xAI.

xAI is developing a large-scale computing facility to boost its AI tool development.

The Greater Memphis Chamber said Nvidia, Dell, and Super Micro Computer are supplying hardware. The companies will establish local operations to support the project.
