Dell names president for Asia-Pacific, Japan, Greater China

Dell Technologies has appointed Richard McLaughlin as president of its Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Greater China (APJC) region, effective immediately.

He has been with Dell since 1999, most recently serving as vice president for the Americas and director of global accounts in financial services.

McLaughlin holds degrees in electrical engineering and economics from Rutgers University.

McLaughlin will oversee strategy and sales across Australia, New Zealand, Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, South Asia, and Emerging Markets, reporting to Pete Trizzino, president of global sales.

He succeeds Peter Marrs, who will take on a senior leadership role in Dell’s North American team.

McLaughlin has also held leadership roles at IBM/Tivoli, Compuware, Princeton Softech, and NCR.

Dell described him as experienced in customer-focused solutions and global markets.
