Delhivery commercializes internal mapping tech
Gurugram-based logistics company, Delhivery, on June 19 commercialized its proprietary mapping technology, Delhivery Maps. opening a news business-to-business revenue stream to compete with third-party navigation providers.
The startup started that the platform already its entire domestic delivery network.
Developed using its in-house large language models (LLMs) for address and location data processing, the software allows corporate clients to integrate location tracking, navigation, and routing features into their own applications.
The move marks a shift for Delhivery, which has fully replaced its previous third-party mapping vendors across its express parcel, freight, and supply chain divisions.
The platform leverage data collected from the firm’s historical deliveries and its fleet of over 100,000 vehicles.
Through this rollout, Delhivery is directly targeting India’s fast-growing quick-commerce, ride hailing, and gig-economy sectors. The company aims to solve a major operational hurdle for these industries: navigating India’s notoriously informal and landmark-based address systems.
