Auterion has raised US$130 million in series B funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

The US- and Europe-based company develops software for autonomous systems used in defense applications.

The round saw participation from existing investors Lakestar, Mosaic Ventures, and Costanoa Ventures, with US$25 million coming as non-dilutive capital backed by the US Department of War.

Bessemer partner Alex Ferrara will join Auterion’s board as part of the investment.

Auterion said the funding will support the scaling of its AuterionOS platform and Nemyx defense system, which coordinate fleets of autonomous drones across air, land, and sea.
