South Korea-based DeepX, an AI semiconductor startup, said it had secured more than US$13 million in purchase orders for its DX-M1 on-device AI chip across more than 10 countries and regions. The orders came within a year of beginning mass production in August 2025.

By the end of July 2026, the company had recorded 77 purchase orders, including 48 between April and July, from customers in South Korea, the US, China, Europe, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and India, among other markets.

DeepX said the DX-M1 is manufactured on Samsung Electronics’ 5-nanometer process and is sold for use in robots, drones, smart factories, manufacturing automation, medical devices, intelligent transportation systems, aviation, and video surveillance and security.

The company added that overseas sales made up more than half of cumulative revenue as of the end of July. It was also developing the DX-M2 on Samsung Electronics’ 2-nanometer process, with prototype wafers planned for March 2027.
