DBS, Stripe team up on AI, cross-border payments in Asia

DBS, a Singapore-based bank, and Stripe announced a partnership on 27 August 2026 to support cross-border payments and agentic commerce in Asia, and to explore AI capabilities for DBS customers.

Under the partnership, Stripe will use DBS’ digital banking capabilities, including money movement and cash management tools, to help merchants using Stripe collect payments.

DBS will also help Stripe manage liquidity and cash positions across its corporate entities.

DBS said it will explore using Stripe’s global platform and embedded finance solutions to expand the bank’s cross-border network for its institutional clients.

The companies said they will also explore jointly developing agentic AI capabilities for DBS customers.

They cited forecasts from McKinsey and Money20/20 with FXC Intelligence on growth in AI-led commerce and Asia’s outbound cross-border payments over the next decade.
