DayOne considers delaying, shrinking planned US IPO
DayOne Data Centers, a Singapore-based data center operator, is considering delaying or shrinking its planned US IPO as volatility hits the data center sector, according to people familiar with the matter.
A smaller offering could raise US$2.5 billion to US$3 billion, down from an earlier goal of up to US$5 billion.
DayOne had also been seeking a valuation of about US$20 billion. No final decision has been made, and the IPO could still proceed in the coming weeks.
DayOne filed for a US IPO on October 5. The filing showed a surge in revenue.
Industry directory Data Center Map lists 22 data centers for DayOne, though the listing does not confirm that all are operational.
The possible delay comes after Australian data center company Firmus Grid withdrew its IPO, and Blackstone-backed AirTrunk postponed a planned Singapore real estate investment trust listing.
