Databricks taps ex-ServiceNow exec for Singapore public sector
Databricks appointed former ServiceNow Singapore country manager Raymond Wong as its enterprise and public sector lead in Singapore on July 14, as the data and AI company expands support for government agencies.
The move comes as Singapore’s National AI Strategy pushes ministries and agencies to improve services through wider AI adoption, alongside updated testing and assurance tools for generative AI.
Databricks said its Singapore public sector customers include the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB), GovTech, Singapore Customs, and Synapxe, Singapore’s national health tech agency.
Public case studies show GovTech migrated to the Databricks platform, while CPFB trained more than 300 users on Azure Databricks to support policy, operations, and service delivery.
Wong has nearly 25 years of enterprise technology experience and previously held senior roles at ServiceNow and IBM, including general manager of IBM Software Singapore.
His appointment follows Databricks’ expansion in Singapore after the company more than tripled its local workforce over three years and said it would expand fourfold with a new Singapore headquarters later in 2026.
