Databricks and OpenAI have entered a multi-year partnership to integrate OpenAI’s models, including GPT-5, into the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, the companies said on September 26.

The deal is worth US$100 million and will make OpenAI’s models available to Databricks’ more than 20,000 enterprise customers.

The collaboration lets businesses build AI agents using Databricks’ Agent Bricks product, leveraging OpenAI’s latest models directly with their enterprise data.

Customers can access these models without moving data or additional setup, and the platform will offer tools for evaluating, tuning, and deploying AI agents at scale.

Both companies plan to optimize OpenAI models for enterprise use cases.
