Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partnerships
Databricks, a US-based data and AI software company, appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Corrie Briscoe as vice president of partnerships and alliances for Asia Pacific & Japan.
Based in Singapore, she will lead the company’s regional partner ecosystem.
Briscoe previously led Amazon Web Services’ Asia Pacific & Japan Partner Core organization and earlier held partner leadership roles at Microsoft and Cisco.
Her appointment follows Databricks’ wider Asia Pacific & Japan expansion.
In April, the company named Simon Davies to lead the region and said the business had grown more than 85% year on year in its fourth quarter, with more than 1,500 employees in Asia Pacific & Japan and a planned Singapore headquarters.
Databricks said it works with more than 1,000 partners in Asia Pacific & Japan and more than 8,000 globally. The company also recently introduced the Brickbuilder Partner Network.
The company also said its Amazon Web Services business had surpassed a US$1 billion run rate. International Data Corporation expected Asia/Pacific AI and generative AI spending to reach US$175 billion by 2028.
