Damac Group to invest $3b in SEA data centers
Damac Group, led by Dubai-based billionaire Hussain Sajwani, announced plans to invest US$3 billion in data centers across Southeast Asia.
The focus will be on Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand over the next three to five years, according to Danish Nayar, senior vice president of investments at Edgnex Data Centers, a subsidiary of the group.
The first facility in Bangkok, Thailand, is scheduled to begin operations in March 2025, featuring chips from Nvidia Corp.
