Dairy startup Cremeitalia raises $2.1m series A
Dairy startup Cremeitalia has raised 18 crore rupee (US$2.1 million) in a series A funding round led by the Amit Jatia Family Office.
Participants in the round include the BL Taparia Family Office, Nikhil Vora of Sixth Sense Ventures, Vitalis Capital Family Trust, and several high-net-worth individuals.
Founded in 2018 by Prateek Mittal and Rajas Dhote, Cremeitalia produces cheese using traditional Italian methods combined with modern technology.
The Mumbai-based company plans to use the funds to expand operations, enhance research and development, and grow its physical retail presence.
In addition, Cremeitalia aims to improve its direct-to-consumer sales channels, increase brand visibility through digital marketing, and expand its B2B outreach. It also plans to enhance operational efficiencies.
This investment highlights the growing interest in India’s dairy sector.
Other startups, such as Doodhvale Farms and Stellapps, have also secured funding to scale their operations, as India remains the world’s largest milk producer.
