Gemini Trust Co LLC, a United States-based cryptocurrency exchange platform founded by Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss, has announced new appointments to boost its European presence.

Mark Jennings, formerly with Kraken, will serve as Gemini’s head of Europe.

Daniel Slutzkin, formerly with Stake, will lead Gemini’s UK operations. Corporate filings reveal that Slutzkin joined the board of Gemini’s UK entities in December.

Vijay Selvam, who was general counsel for Gemini in the Asia-Pacific region, has moved to London to serve as general counsel for international operations.

The exchange expanded in France in November and designated Dublin as its regional headquarters.

Despite these efforts, Gemini represented less than 1% of the European crypto trading market in 2024, with weekly trading volumes of around 1 million euros (around US$1.02 million), according to data from Kaiko.
