The cryptocurrency market experienced liquidations exceeding US$500 million in the past 24 hours.

Data from Coinglass on Sunday shows 197,551 traders, with US$380 million in long positions and US$120 million in short positions.

Bitcoin alone accounted for US$70.4 million of these liquidations.

Ethereum and Dogecoin contributed US$43.4 million and US$35.3 million, respectively.

Bitcoin’s price recently approached the US$100,000 mark, reaching US$99,320 on Friday.
