Crypto exchange OKX adds social network to its trading app
OKX, a San Jose, California-based crypto exchange, began a limited beta of Orbit, a built-in social network, on Feb. 26.
OKX said Orbit allows users to post market commentary, hold livestream discussions, and create trading groups, while displaying verified performance metrics such as portfolio returns, profit and loss, and win rates.
Orbit aims to add accountability to social trading by letting users who choose to share metrics verify them within the app, and it supports market-specific cashtags like $BTC, $ETH, and $SOL, as well as public or gated communities, OKX said.
The move reflects a broader trend of trading services and social platforms converging as online communities increasingly shape sentiment around assets such as Bitcoin and ether.
