CrowdStrike appointed former Splunk Security executive AJ Shipley as CPO to lead its product organization as it expands the Falcon platform for AI security.

That push covers AI-powered security operations and products for securing AI systems. This includes runtime protection against prompt injection and data leaks, as well as cloud features for governing AI models and services from development to runtime.

The appointment also signals a shift in product leadership. Shipley now leads CrowdStrike’s broader product organization after the company restructured product leadership in 2023.

Shipley’s background at Splunk and Cisco also aligns with CrowdStrike’s plan to expand Falcon as cybersecurity vendors increasingly consolidate security platform.
