CrowdStrike joins identity groups as AI agents gain ground
CrowdStrike said on June 10 that it had joined the OpenID Foundation as a Sustaining Corporate Member. The company also joined IDPro.
The move comes as enterprises deal with AI agents and other non-human identities that can exceed older access controls.
CrowdStrike said it plans to contribute to open identity standards including the Shared Signals Framework (SSF) and Continuous Access Evaluation Profile (CAEP).
The company will share Falcon platform intelligence across identity providers, software-as-a-service platforms, and security tools.
These standards share events such as session revocation, credential changes, and device compliance updates so connected systems can adjust access in near real time.
That interoperability is already in production use. Okta said SSF-based integrations can inform risk policies and trigger actions. Its documentation lists CrowdStrike Falcon among supported signal sources.
IDPro is a membership organization focused on education, certification, and community for identity professionals.
CrowdStrike separately said non-human identities are becoming prevalent across cloud and on-premises environments. These identities often do not fit controls designed for human users.
