CrowdStrike hires ex-Nvidia executive to lead AI efforts

CrowdStrike said on June 3 it had appointed former Nvidia executive Dr. Bartley Richardson as chief AI and autonomous systems officer.

The appointment came after the cybersecurity company reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 results above guidance.

Revenue rose 26% year on year to US$1.39 billion, while annual recurring revenue at the end of the quarter reached US$5.51 billion. CrowdStrike also said it was raising full-year net new ARR guidance by more than US$50 million.

Richardson most recently led agentic software at Nvidia and oversaw cybersecurity AI development. His appointment adds to CrowdStrike’s AI efforts around Charlotte AI.

CrowdStrike also announced a board-approved four-for-one stock split, to be issued as a stock dividend.
