Crosschain infra startup Sprinter raises $5.2m seed round
Sprinter, a crosschain infrastructure startup, has raised US$5.2 million in a seed round led by Robot Ventures.
Other investors include A Capital, Atka Capital, Bond St Ventures, Topology, Uniswap Labs Ventures, and several angel investors.
Sprinter is developing tools aimed at improving blockchain solver infrastructure, focusing on off-chain bots and algorithms that execute onchain actions for users.
The protocol is currently in private beta and features two main products: Sprinter Stash, a credit protocol that allows market makers and solvers to access liquidity without collateral, and Sprinter Solve, which provides swap APIs for dApps, wallets, and protocols.
Liquidity providers can deposit USDC to earn fees, and the platform has a native governance token, SPRINT, as well as staking via veSPRNT.
The team includes Ethereum core developers and contributors such as ChainSafe Systems CEO Aidan Hyman and former ENS developer Dean Eigenmann.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Uncollateralized credit risk remains the platform’s big unknown
- Sprinter Stash gives solvers (automation services that execute transactions for users) unsecured credit. Public docs leave out underwriting, default playbooks, and how liquidity providers avoid losses 12.
- USDC (a U.S. dollar pegged stablecoin) deposit fees hold up only if solver credit risk is priced well and covered 12. No audits or loss waterfall mechanics (the order in which different capital absorbs losses) are public, so this could be sturdy plumbing or yield chasing like past Decentralized Finance (DeFi) blowups 12.
- Private beta status means we do not see runbooks for borrower insolvency (inability to repay) or stress from many concurrent defaults on borrowed liquidity.
Integration paths for other swap aggregators and wallets
- DApps, wallets plus aggregators not listed can plug in Sprinter Solve swap APIs 13. They can get better routing and a revenue share when a fixed user fee applies.
- Setup can finish in hours with dedicated APIs and Software Development Kits (SDKs) 2. MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) protection and optimized crosschain routing could help products stand out.
- Product and engineering teams at wallets, DApps plus aggregators should check docs during the beta 32. Look for supported chains, service level agreements, and incident response or support contacts. This helps plan timing and start business development before launch.
