CoreWeave sweetens $2.6b loan to win investors
CoreWeave, a US cloud computing company, has widened pricing and offered a bigger discount on a US$2.6 billion loan to add computing capacity for customers including Anthropic. The moves comes as investors grow more cautious about debt tied to AI infrastructure.
According to people familiar with the matter, the spread on the delayed-draw term loan increased by as much as 1.25 percentage points to as high as 5.5 percentage points over the benchmark rate.
The loan price fell to 97 cents on the dollar from 99 cents, and CoreWeave tightened creditor protections.
The JP Morgan-led financing would fund graphics processing units and other equipment for take-or-pay contracts with customers including Anthropic, Jane Street Group, and Hudson River Trading.
Investors had until July 30 to place orders, the people said.
The repricing comes as investors scrutinize CoreWeave’s debt load and profitability. The company reported US$5.1 billion in 2025 revenue, up from US$1.9 billion in 2024, but still posted a US$1.1 billion net loss.
