CoreWeave raises $3.6b in bond sale for AI expansion
CoreWeave, a US company that rents out computing power and software for AI applications, sold 2 billion euros (US$2.31 billion) of bonds and $1.25 billion of dollar bonds on June 11.
The proceed will help fund data centers, chips, and other infrastructure.
The deal is the first euro-denominated junk bond sale by a US AI infrastructure company.
Orders for the euro tranche topped 7 billion euros (US$8.08 billion).
CoreWeave said it operated 43 active data centers in 2925. The company also manage more than 850 megawatts of active power.
The company raised the lower end of its 2026 capex guidance to $31 billion from $30 billion while keeping the upper end at $35 billion. Analysts expect CoreWeave to spend almost $35 billion this year.
Microsoft accounted for 62% of CoreWeave’s revenue in 2024. CoreWeave said newer contracts should reduce that share to less than half of expected future committed contract revenue.
In May, CoreWeave said it had secured more than $20 billion of debt and equity capital year to date. The funding include a GPU-backed load facility.
