CoreWeave, Meta sign AI infrastructure deal worth up to $14.2b

CoreWeave has agreed to supply Meta with up to US$14.2 billion in computing power, marking a significant deal as demand for advanced AI infrastructure rises.

CoreWeave, a US-based cloud provider specializing in AI chip access, will give Meta access to Nvidia’s latest GB300 systems as part of the agreement.

The deal further diversifies CoreWeave’s customer base, which previously relied heavily on Microsoft, accounting for 71% of its revenue in the June quarter.

This follows a recent multibillion-dollar commitment from OpenAI to CoreWeave.

Meta has emerged as a major spender on AI, projecting up to US$72 billion in capital expenditures for 2024, largely focused on AI and data centers.
