Cool Japan Fund backs Indonesian vending startup JumpStart
Indonesia-based JumpStart, a vending machine operator, said it has received additional investment from Japan’s Cool Japan Fund Inc, moving the company from series B towards series C.
The funding will be used to expand its vending machine network in Indonesia.
CEO Brian Imawan said that the funding would support the expansion and operational improvements.
The company said the funding would be used to expand its vending machine network and strengthen operations
JumpStart said it operated more than 6,500 vending machines across Indonesia by the end of 2025.
The company’s financial performance grew 200% from a year earlier.
Cool Japan Fund said it supports the overseas expansion of Japanese lifestyle- and culture-related products and services.
