Flexible living startup Cove has named Ashish Manchharam as a board advisor.

Manchharam, the founder of 8M Real Estate and Elevate Capital, brings expertise in real estate and hospitality.

Cove manages more than 6,000 rental units in Singapore and Indonesia.

It plans to expand by acquiring properties and forming partnerships across Asia-Pacific. The company aims to add rooms in South Korea and Japan within the next six months.

Cove’s CEO Guillaume Catagne said the company aims to double its portfolio to 15,000 units by the end of 2025.

Separately, Cove secured additional funding of US$4.5 million, with the participation of Manchharam as well as its existing investors including Eurazeo and Keppel. The company has also achieved an EBITDA profitability.
