Cisco is in advanced talks to acquire Astrix Security, an Israeli cybersecurity startup, in a deal that could value the company at US$250 million to US$350 million, The Information reported.

Founded in 2021, Astrix builds software that helps companies monitor and control access granted to non-human identities such as software bots, automated processes, and AI agents.

The potential acquisition comes as enterprises expand the use of AI tools, increasing the need for tighter security controls.
