Chinese tech firm Monica raises new funding led by Tencent
Tencent has led a financing round for Monica, the parent company of the product Manus.
This is Tencent’s second partnership with Monica’s founder, Xiao Hong, following an earlier investment in the Weiban Assistant project.
Monica is linked to Beijing Red Butterfly Technology Co., Ltd., founded in July 2023 and wholly owned by Butterfly Effect (Hong Kong) Limited.
Additionally, Monica operates Beijing Butterfly Effect Technology Co., Ltd., established in April 2022, which is co-owned by Feng Qionghua and Xue Fengying.
