Chinese startup UltraRisc closes series A1 to make desktop CPU

UltraRisc Technology, a Chinese startup focused on processor chip development, has completed its Series A1 funding round, raising more than 100 million yuan.

The round was led by Hongtai Fund, with investments from Long Ding Investment, Sanhe Capital, and others, while Deep Blue Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor.

Founded in Shanghai in 2021, UltraRisc specializes in CPUs based on RISC-V architecture for edge computing, IoT, industrial control, and cloud computing.

The funding will be used for further development and commercialization of UltraRISC’s processors. The company plans to launch a multi-core desktop CPU in the first quarter of 2025.
