Chinese startup AI² Robotics eyes Hong Kong IPO
AI² Robotics, a Shenzhen-based maker of general-purpose robots, is considering a Hong Kong IPO that could happen as soon as next year, according to people familiar with the matter.
Founded in 2023, the company says it is led by founder and chief executive Yandong Eric Guo, who previously led core research and development work at Microsoft, OPPO, and XPENG.
AI² Robotics says its AlphaBot series is aimed at enterprise customers.
According to the company and an interview-based analysis, the robots have been deployed in industrial manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, public services, and retail.
Recent funding data also indicated participation from GSR Ventures.
If AI² Robotics pursues a Hong Kong listing, Chapter 18C covers AI and robotics companies, including pre-commercial issuers, though eligibility can depend on operating history and other requirements.
Other Chinese robot makers have also started Hong Kong IPO processes.
