Chinese spatial tech firm seeks HK IPO after Nasdaq setback

Manycore Tech, a Chinese start-up specializing in spatial design, has filed for an IPO in Hong Kong after an unsuccessful Nasdaq listing attempt three years ago.

Founded in 2011, the company operates what it claims to be the world’s largest spatial design platform.

It is part of Hangzhou’s “Six Little Dragons,” alongside AI firm DeepSeek and robot maker Unitree.

The IPO filing, backed by JPMorgan and CCB International, did not disclose a funding target. However, a 2024 Bloomberg report said that Manycore aimed to raise US$200 million.

Research cited in the filing shows that in 2023, Manycore had the highest number of monthly active users for a spatial design platform globally and led China’s spatial design software sector in revenue.

Manycore has received investments from IDG Capital, Hillhouse Investment, and Coatue Management.

After a 2020 funding round, it reached a US$2 billion valuation, according to industrial media outlet 77d.
