Chinese solar inverter giant Sungrow Power files for HK IPO
Sungrow Power Supply, based in Hefei, has filed for a Hong Kong IPO as more mainland Chinese firms look to tap into the city’s strong stock market performance.
The company is a major producer of solar inverters and energy storage systems, with a 25.2% global market share for inverters and an 11.9% share for energy storage by shipment volume as of June 30, according to Frost & Sullivan data cited in its IPO prospectus.
Sungrow reported a 55% year-on-year rise in net profit to 7.8 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion) and a 40% revenue rise to 43.4 billion yuan (US$6.09 billion) in H1 2025.
International sales accounted for 58.4% of revenue in the first half of the year.
