Chinese robotics firm Unitree opens new subsidiary
Chinese robotics company Unitree has launched a new subsidiary, Shenzhen Tianyi Technology, to focus on intelligent and service robots, according to business registry platform Tianyancha.
The Hangzhou-based company has been expanding, with similar subsidiaries set up in Beijing and Shanghai in late 2024.
Shenzhen’s robotics industry is growing rapidly, with plans to develop a 100 billion yuan (US$13.8 billion) humanoid robotics sector by 2027.
The city aims to establish an industry cluster of 1,200 robotics firms, including over 10 companies valued at more than 10 billion yuan (US$1.38 billion).
