Chinese robotics firm Agibot targets 5,000 robots this year
Shanghai-based robotics company Agibot, also known as Zhiyuan Robotics, plans to produce between 3,000 and 5,000 robots in 2025.
This represents a significant increase from fewer than 1,000 units delivered in 2024, according to Yao Maoqing, president of the company’s embodied intelligence unit.
Established in 2023, Agibot has rapidly emerged as a key player in Shanghai’s robotics sector.
The company runs a facility in Lingang New Area and plans to open a new plant in Pudong to boost production to over 400 robots per month.
