Chinese robotics company Ace debuts embodied AI
Chinese robotics company Ace Robotics introduced its Kairos 3.1 embodied AI model, Ambient Capture Engine 2.0, and three commercial solutions at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on July 19. The products target retail, hotel laundry, and outdoor services.
Ace described Kairos 3.1 as an action-oriented world model that unifies generative, physical, and cognitive intelligence. The company said the model lets robots break down long-horizon tasks, execute them, and adjust when errors occur.
ACE also said it secured several hundred million US dollars in financing in the first half of 2026.
Its Xiaoman retail system has been deployed with Sense MartGo, Kuaikeda, and PetroChina convenience stores. ACE said it plans to expand the system to 1,000 retail locations within a year and about 10,000 stores within two years.
Xiaoxin is designed to automate hotel laundry work, including collection, loading, unloading, washing, sorting, and folding.
ACE also announced ACE-Data-0, an open household-interaction dataset, and PHYSICAL IQ, a unified benchmark for embodied physical intelligence launched by Chinese industry bodies.
The rollout comes as China supports embodied AI and Shanghai advances its 2025-2028 industry plan.
