Chinese robot maker Ubtech to mass produce humanoids by 2025

Ubtech Robotics, a Chinese humanoid robot manufacturer, plans to begin mass production of industrial humanoid robots by the end of 2025.

The move aims to strengthen its position in China’s competitive robotics sector.

This year, the company expects to deliver 500 and 1,000 units of its Walker S Series humanoid robots to clients such as car manufacturers, Apple supplier Foxconn, and logistics firm SF Express.

Ubtech is focusing on industrial robots to address labor shortages in factories.

Michael Tam, Ubtech’s chief brand officer, explained that factory settings provide a more stable environment for robot operations, as humanoid robots are not yet advanced enough for everyday home use.
