Chinese optical tech firm Ligent seeks $723m IPO
China’s Ligent Technologies, a maker of optical communications equipment controlled by Hisense Group Holding, plans to raise HK$5.67 billion (US$723 million) in a Hong Kong IPO, according to a stock exchange filing.
Ligent is offering 172 million shares at HK$32.96 (US$4.2) each. The shares are due to start trading on September 22.
The company had been targeting about US$800 million from the listing, according to a September 3 report.
Ligent makes optical transceivers, optical chips, and network terminals for data centers, cloud computing, and telecommunications networks.
