China’s esports tournament organizer Vspo has appointed Danny Tang, previously the company’s CFO and co-founder, as its new CEO and has rebranded it to Hero Esports.

This transition occurs as current CEO and founder Dino Ying assumes the position of executive chairman.

Founded in 2016, VSPO has organized over 7,000 matches annually for an online audience exceeding 800 million.

The company operates in 14 office locations and manages eight premier esports venues globally.

VSPO has also established collaborations with game publishers like Tencent and Krafton.
