Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. (AMEC), a Shanghai-based chipmaking equipment producer, has been removed from the United States Department of Defense’s list of Chinese military companies.

The Pentagon updated the list this month, removing the company from its blacklist.

AMEC was added to the list in January 2024, a designation disputed by the company.
