Chinese autonomous truck firm TuSimple’s annual shareholder meeting on Friday will determine the future composition of its board of directors.

Tension is rising between co-founder and former chief executive officer Xiaodi Hou and the company since Hou was ousted as CEO in 2022.

He announced plans to remove the board if necessary through a written consent process.

TuSimple is urging shareholders to re-elect the current directors and approve a proposal to stagger the board.
