China’s Unitree Robotics begins preparations for IPO

Unitree Robotics, a Chinese robotics company, has begun preparations for IPO, according to a filing with the securities regulator on July 14.

The Hangzhou-based startup will work with CITIC Securities to finalize its application documents by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The company specializes in humanoid robots, including the G1 model, which is currently undergoing testing in industrial environments.

Unitree is part of a broader initiative in China to advance its robotics sector, backed by government subsidies and a strong manufacturing supply chain.

Over the past five years, Unitree has signed 90 contracts with Chinese government agencies and universities, totaling 39 million yuan (US$5.43 million). More than half of this revenue was generated in the last year.
