China’s UBTech shares jump after Airbus orders humanoid robots

China-based UBTech Robotics reported its shares rise up to 8% in Hong Kong trading after announcing an order from Airbus SE for its Walker S2 humanoid robots, according to Bloomberg.

Airbus plans to deploy the robots at its aircraft manufacturing facilities, though specific details of the deal were not disclosed. The companies will also explore additional applications of robotics in aviation production.

UBTech, which reported over 1.4 billion yuan (US$201 million) in humanoid orders for 2025, aims to produce 10,000 units in 2026.
