China’s Quant Group signs framework deal for AI robots
Hong Kong-listed Quant Group, a China-based company focused on ecommerce AI and embodied AI, said its indirectly wholly owned subsidiary, Silicon Base (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Development Company, signed a framework agreement with Chewujie (Beijing) Automobile Co. Ltd. to supply up to 2,000 embodied AI robot solutions for car showrooms and 4S dealerships by the end of 2027.
Quant Group said the robots are intended for reception, vehicle presentation, customer engagement, and sales lead capture and distribution.
It also said the planned quantities are indicative rather than binding, and actual deliveries will depend on demand from Chewujie’s outlets. The timing and amount of revenue therefore remain uncertain.
The agreement adds to early signs of robot adoption in China’s auto retail sector. Chinese automaker Chery is introducing humanoid robots in car showrooms.
