China’s Neolix raises nearly $400m for global expansion
Neolix, a China-based autonomous delivery vehicle company, said it had raised nearly US$400 million in a series E round to fund global expansion and commercial operations.
The round was co-led by Boyu Capital and included Alibaba’s AEF NextGen Fund, Granite Asia, Vertex Growth, Meridian Capital, and other new and existing investors.
Neolix plans to build regional service hubs and expand data training for its AI models. The company said its fleet had more than 30,000 vehicles and operated in more than 20 countries and regions.
The raise follows a more than US$600 million series D round that Neolix previously described as a record private financing for China’s autonomous driving industry.
For commercial deployments, Neolix partnered with QuikBot in Singapore to advance autonomous delivery services.
Its overseas expansion comes as proposed US connected-vehicle regulations may complicate access to the US market for Chinese connected vehicles.
