China’s Kuaishou attracts overseas users with adult AI companions
Kuaishou Technology has launched FantaSay, an AI companion app for international users, through its Singapore-based unit Symphony Tech.
FantaSay, which began testing in February 2025 and officially launched last month, has reached about 500,000 downloads, according to Sensor Tower.
The app features AI avatars that mimic human conversations, with many offering adult-themed content, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
FantaSay’s Portuguese-language materials suggest a focus on Brazil, while Kuaishou’s earlier domestic version was called Kraft.
Chinese AI firms like MiniMax, PolyBuzz, and HiWaifu are also expanding similar products overseas, while Kuaishou denied issuing a misleading brochure about its AI agent platform, Keloi.
